Top 5 YouTubers to keep you company

Firstly, I must apologies for the few days of unexpected hiatus.
I was hoping to have a new blog post daily through December, sadly my Wi-fi adapter had it's own ideas on how I would be spending my time.

Thankfully the problem is now resolved and I can get back to bringing you these awesome posts.

As Christmas is now less than a week away, it's time to start the dreaded "big wrap"!

Gift wrapping can become quite tedious. As you ideally want to be alone, so as to not give up any surprises, it can become quite a lonely task.

It's best to get yourself in a comfy spot, supplies and snacks at the ready, stick something on to watch and then begin.

Here are our top 5 YouTubers to keep your company whilst your endlessly trying to find the scissors you literally just put at the side of you. We have linked a Christmas themed video for each of them, just to help you get in that festive spirit.

Alexa Poletti

With her stunning tutorials, amazing quality edits, and her adorable self, I always look forward to her new videos.

I love her favorite's series, however it has been a while since she last posted one 😞

If you keep an eye out, you may see some of our accessories appear in a few of them.

Pixielocks

I just love Pixielocks, she is just so fun to watch. She has the coolest style, and the most awesome collection of magical girl wands, each with their own vid!

If you are not already a part of her confetti club movement, trust me when I say this... You wanna be!!!

The Lovely Ify

I'm fairly new on Ify's subscription list, so haven't yet had time to watch every one of her videos, but the ones I have watched, have been enjoyable viewing.

She is very well articulated, and it's like sat chatting to a friend watching her. She definitely keeps viewers engaged. She is also soooo cute!

Princess Peachie

Peachie is an adorable sweet lolita from bonnie Scotland. She is naturally charming, and has a wonderful sense of humour.

I love watching her vlogs, but now and then she hits us with something completely hilarious such as this gift guide video.

Deerstalker Pictures 1&2

There is an amazing cast over at Deerstalker Pictures, everyone of them totally amazing. With vlogs, comedy sketches, documentaries and unboxings, there is so much choice.

For myself, their Lolita Problems are my favorite series, followed by anything with Milkyfawn.I wish she'd return to the fashion. She really was an idol to me and many others, but I totally understand her reasons and I hope wherever she is in life now, she is happy.

Each of their videos make fantastic viewing though, highly recommended for anyone into Lolita fashion.

Top 5 Kawaii Gift Wraps

So you have worked hard to find that perfect gift for your family and friends, now how to wrap them?

Wrapping paper is the equivalent to that cherry on top of an ice cream sundae, it just makes it that much more special. A good quality paper, with a gorgeous design is going to heighten the pleasure of both giving and receiving gifts.

With 1000's of designs available, and almost everywhere selling rolls of the stuff this time of year, it can get a little over whelming when picking the one you like most, only to walk into the next store and like theirs even more... skip to the night before Christmas, whilst your sat surrounded by over 50 rolls and not having a clue which to finally use, or is that just me?

I always over buy, I can't buy enough cute wrap. It being so inexpensive really doesn't help. I can confidently say at least 20% of my spend during winter is on gift wraps, none of which is saved for the following year. I'm so wasteful 😓

This time I'm thinking more carefully on the one choose, I've got it narrowed to these 5.

Christmas Characters

I love Tofu Cute, their characters are too cute for words.

This festive wrap is full of their designs. Gold paper adds that extra touch of festive charm.

You get 2 sheets of wrap and matching gift tags too.

Anyone would be lucky to receive their gift in this wrap, they also have some amazing gift ideas too, just in case you have yet to find that perfect present.

Get it from Tofu Cute for £2.50

Pastel Alpaca Skies

Another great choice from Tofu Cute, is this Alpaca print. Still featuring some of their other cute characters.

This one is my personal favorite for our pastel festivities, all our gifts will look fabulous under our tree this year.

As this hasn't got any actual Christmas features this is a fabulous wrap for any gift, no matter the occasion.

Again with this design you receive 2 sheets of paper and matching gift tags.

Get it from Tofu Cute for £2.50

Unicorn Wrapping Paper

This charming Unicorn design is currently available from M&S.

Frolicking across a starry night sky, this wrap still gives off a Christmas feel, without being overly Christmas that is, so it could be used for all types of gifts.

The pack contains two sheets and 2 gift tags.

Get it here from Marks & Spencers for £1

Hello Kitty Wrap

Hello Kitty looks so sweet in her winter coat.

This blue paper is filled with pastel snow flakes, Hello Kitty with her skates, in her skates, and look how adorable My Melody looks a the side of her.

Actually printed in 2005, this sheet is vintage. Sadly it doesn't come with tags and has only 1 sheet.

This is definitely a paper to gift that special someone. Ideally an Hello Kitty fan who can appreciate your choice, and not just tear it straight up.

Get it from Etsy for £5.30

Cookie Gingerbread

I love the design of this fun wrap. Those happy little gingerbread men and women are so kawaii!

With a pale blue candy stripe, and complimenting heart and star cookies, your gifts will look amazing wrapped in this paper.

Each pack comes with 2 sheets of wrap, 2 matching tags and as a bonus you also receive 2  matching stickers.

Get them at Not on the high street for £4

Bonus Featurette :

FREE PRINTABLE GIFT WRAP

So whilst I was searching wrap, I came across a blog called Bespoke Bride, and they are currently allowing you to download and use this amazing wrap for your gifts this year.

As you need to print it off yourself, it will mean a restriction on the size of items you could wrap.

Would be fantastic for all those stocking fillers though.

With 4 different colours to print off, what are you waiting around for?

Top 5 Christmas stockings

Have you not got your stocking yet? Are you fed up with the stocking you've used every year for the past decade? We're in the same boat. We want a stocking which Santa will easily recognize as belonging to us. So the search began.

Whilst searching for the cutest Hello Kitty stocking known to man, we stumbled upon a site called Kess in House. After browsing their extensive catalogue, consisting of 124 pages of Christmas stockings alone... our top 5 list has become totally dominated by them.

The site not only as it's own work, but some amazing artists have paired with them. Almost every print is available on a diverse range of products, that is great for us ... not so much for the bank balance! Nothing is massively too expensive, there is just so much now on the wish list.

Luckily right now there is a sale on though, these amazing stockings are only $12.99

It has taken us a long while to decide which of their great range will hit the top 5 list, believe me when I say they were a great many to ween down to our 5. There is a particular artist on there named Mandie Manzano who does some amazing Disney themed designs that I wish could've made the top list, but sadly her designs were too dark to fit into our aesthetic, but is definitely worth a mention.

Anyways here are the ones that made it to the top.

Goodnight Usagi

First up is this adorable Sailor moon inspired print by the artist Jackie Rose, this is also the one we're going for.

The lavender and magenta work so well together, this will make a great addition to our pastel decor.

Find it at Kessinhouse here

My Neighbor

Another design by Jackie Rose, is inspired by Studio Ghiblis classic animation, My Neighbour Totoro.

There is also a design based on the soot sprites, maybe a great choice for him&hers matching set.

Find it at Kessinhouse here
Pastel Diamonds

Next is a design by an artist called Strawberringo, aptly called pastel diamonds, this stocking is perfect for fairykei lovers.

It would also fit in well with a Unicorn theme.

Find it at Kessinhouse here

Blue On Pink

This adorable flamingo design is original to Kess. With it's muted colours but fun nature, this would look perfect hung on any ones mantel.

With a great selection of flamingo decor available this Christmas, I can see this being a very popular choice.

Find it at Kessinhouse here
Mr. Rainbow

Last but not least for this top 5, is this adorable rainbow.

Brighten up your mantel with this super happy kawaii guy.

He makes me think of hot cocoa with marshmallows, cream and lots of rainbow sprinkles! Which I have to say, is the best kind of cocoa.

Find it at Kessinhouse here

Top 5 fairy lights

In the area we live, very few houses go all out with the festive lighting. Occasionally you may pass a house with giant light-up sculptures in their garden, waving Santa's, grazing reindeer and such like. Most, however are quite reserved with their decorations. Generally framing internal windows with fairy lights.

I think that perhaps it's the modern equivalent of placing a candle in the window to help loved ones find their way home in darkness.Though it seems this ancient tradition as many origins, this was always the explanation I liked the best.

A few firm favorites with the locals tend to be either ones that replicate icicles, or brightly coloured blinking lights that mimic strobe lighting. At the emporium, we like to do things a little bit different. You can still light up your windows whilst keeping things kawaii.

Here are our top 5 fairy lights to light your way home this winter.

Korilakkuma slippers

These giant plush Korilakkuma heads make excellent slippers.

A mule fit makes these much safer when coming down pesky stairs, as they don't add much more length to the soles of your feet, unlike most novelty slippers.

They're also none slip, so you're less likely to go flying as you're leaving the kitchen with that marshmallow filled hot cocoa.

Fluffy Bunny boots

These are the cheapest of our selection. Though they may not last as long as the other pairs, they certainly are cute.

Available in 2 colours, these fluffy boots have floppy ears to give the impression of a bunny.

Conservative in style, but still kawaii.

Rabbit eared pajamas

The only downside to the Kigurumi's is having to undress to go potty, a great alternative is this adorable fleeced bunny set.
